I live in Belgium and I love exploring the spectacular wilderness of Scandinavia, southern Africa and Patagonia whenever I can. Photography is my excuse to spend time in nature.
My name is Stéphane and I am a French and Dutch citizen who was born in Germany. I consider myself first a European and second a world citizen. Speaking the languages English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch and a little bit of Russian helps me to get around and explore further. I love the outdoors and in my free time I am a documentary style photographer.
I have lived in seven countries but there is one home that I will never leave behind.
The African bush will always have a special place in my heart. To date I have roamed +80.000km throughout sub-Saharan Africa in my trusty Landcruiser GLX (1996 model 80s). There will be more to come.
I believe in the need for a transition to a more sustainable functioning of our society, and the focus of my professional life has been to change our food system. As a social entrepreneur I have been working with farmers first in Chile with Mi Huerto Web, then in Belgium with BONPAIN and now at La Ruche Qui Dit Oui. I also try to influence our policy makers as best as I can, e.g. in my role as guarantor member at 'Kaya, la Coalition belge des Ecopreneurs'.
I am proud to have created my first book about Chilean entrepreneurs who build a sustainable tourism industry from scratch in Patagonia. To explore it have a look at the website Norte Sur Patagonia.
